Punjab’s farm policy, explained with depth, data and clarity.

I am Dr. Amanpreet Singh Brar, an educationist, author and independent agriculture columnist based in Ludhiana, Punjab. My work as a teacher, researcher and writer centres on the questions that will decide the future of Punjab’s farmers: MSP and farm income, falling groundwater, crop diversification, marketing and the policies that shape them.

My aim is simple: to make complex agriculture policy understandable and useful. Farmers get clarity on what policies mean for them. Policymakers get evidence-based analysis. Students and researchers get a reliable reference.

Every column, talk and review rests on official government data, a ground-level understanding of Punjab’s agrarian reality and a management perspective on farming. I write and speak in Punjabi, Hindi and English.

Punjab Di Kheti: Parbandhan Di Akh Ton

Punjab’s Agriculture from a Management Perspective

Punjab’s farmers face deep, interlinked problems: falling water tables, rising input costs, market uncertainty and an unsettled policy direction. This book examines these challenges and the new ones ahead for the agrarian state, and sets out the steps the government needs to take to resolve them.

Written for farmers and farm unions, policymakers and officials, students and researchers, and anyone who cares about Punjab’s agrarian future.
